Symbolic Festivals (WMV 53 MB)

Since Swamishri’s arrival in Amdavad on 1 September 2008, he had blessed the sadhus and devotees with divine joy. The last day of his stay was marked with the celebrations of three festivals: Annakut, Diwali and Navratri.

Over 350 varieties of vegetarian delicacies were devoutly offered to Thakorji in the form of a grand Annakut. Before his morning puja Swamishri performed the Annakut arti and blessed that such devotion continues to flourish in everyone’s hearts.

During Swamishri’s morning puja, the sadhus sang bhajans in commemoration of Diwali. Swamishri’s serene murti was the focal point of attention as youths in special diva costumes lit the stage.

Finally, after his puja, Swamishri heralded the first day of the annual Navratri festival by joyfully playing with the ras sticks as the sadhus sang a traditional dance bhajan.

Thousands of devotees arrived from early morning to experience the divinity and joy of these three celebrations.
