| Four BAPS sadhus touring the Asia-Pacific region visited Melbourne from Monday 24 May  to Tuesday 1 June 2010.  A five-day parayan was organized every evening from Monday 24 to Friday 28 May 2010 in which Pujya Vivekpriya Swami spoke on various topics such as, faith in God, youth awareness, positive thinking and bal sanskar.
A one-day Satsang Shibir themed on “Chaar Vaat Jivanu Jivan” was also organized on Saturday 29 May 2010.  The four main pillars of Satsang – agna, upasana, suhradbhav and ekantikma priti – were explained in depth.  The Shibir had a combination of inspiring video presentations, interactive group discussions and a question-answer session covering other related aspects of Satsang, such as nitya puja, satsang reading, ghar sabha and bal sanskar.  A nitya puja demonstration was performed by four volunteers to guide and motivate everyone to perform an ideal nitya puja.

More than 200 people participated in the Shibir and many of them were inspired to take pledges for satsang reading, ghar sabha and nitya puja.

An evening Satsang Sabha themed “Sanskruti”, was held on Sunday 30 May 2010, in which Pujya Vivekpriya Swami spoke on the origins of Hindu culture, how we can preserve our heritage, culture and values in an ever-changing world and how mandirs help to improve the lives of people.

Overall, the visit was an enlightening experience for all and many were inspired to follow a pure and pious life free of addictions.
