A stunning video presentation illustrating the living embodiment of Niyam, Nischay and Paksha through the Guru Parampara provided a spectacular opening to the National Kishore-Kishori Summer Shibir 2006 based on the theme of BAPS – Ek Parivar: The Power of One, held at Warwick Conference Park on Wed 23 August and Thurs 24 August 2006.

The concept of ‘Niyam’ was dramatised by Leicester Kishore Mandal where Vimalbhai enacted the role of a troubled teenager in the Western world with careful advice from his inner self (Mitbhai Dattani) and a live portrayal of Abhesinh Bapu’s (Rohitbhai Vadher) trials.

Through the accounts of a kishore (Rakeshbhai Gunchala), a yuvak (Yogendrabhai Parmar), a sadhu (Anandswarup Swami), and a sadguru sadhu (Ishwarcharan Swami), true ‘Nischay’ was illustrated with emotional examples.

The closing session of the Shibir moved to ‘Paksha’ where a sharp chord was struck in the minds of kishores and kishoris as the message was enforced with a powerful soliloquy by Mitbhai, instilling the motivation to imbibe Yogiji Maharaj’s words of Samp, Suhradaybhav and Ekta.

The Shibir was complemented with magnificent group kirtans from Birmingham and Leicester, valuable educational guidance, classroom sessions with the sadhus and a superb tabla demonstration by Anandmuni Swami. The grand finale signalled the raising of the BAPS flag followed by a sea of red and white balloons floating high into the skies, conveying the message of ‘BAPS – Ek Parivar’ far and wide, a message very close to Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s heart.
