The UK Yuvak Mandal held a team building retreat for karyakars over the May Bank Holiday weekend. The retreat had been arranged at the Kings Youth Hostel, Dolgellau, at the southern end of Snowdonia National Park in North Wales.

The retreat focused on cross-centre bonding and national team spirit. In total, 37 karyakars attended the event from across the UK including; Ashton, Birmingham, Preston, Leicester, Loughborough and London.

Various team building activities including rafting, water-sports and a visit to the coast were organised. The weekend’s greatest achievement was a team hike up Mount Cader Idris – 2,932ft.

The karyakars also joined hands in taking turns at cooking, cleaning, collecting water and washing up generating true team spirit. Daily Satsang activities were undertaken and each evening, sabhas were held. The nights were spent around the camp fire conducting goshthis as well as sharing views and ideas.

The karyakars left with a true feeling of team work and unity.
