Shri Swaminarayan Mahamantra Dwishatabdi Mahotsav in Atlanta

BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Atlanta celebrated Swaminarayan Mahamantra Dwishatabdi Mahotsav Samaiyo on Sunday, January 6, 2002. The morning session of the samaiyo started at 10:00 am with akhand dhoon for an hour; yuvaks performed various dhoons. Mandir pujari along with devotees performed Vedic rituals and offered their mantra pothis for visarjan. This session ended with akhand dhoon.
In the afternoon, the samaiyo started with dhoon and prarthana on Swaminarayan Mahamantra theme which were performed by yuvaks, kishores and balaks. Devotee presented a very inspiring speech on the mahima of Swaminarayan Mahamantra with several prasangs from our guru parampara and the bicentennial yog-yagna given by Swamishri. This was followed by another heart rendering speech by devotee, who explained the mahima of the Mahamantra based on various Hindu scriptures including the Vachnamrut. Mandir pujari read the Harililaamrut and explained in depth meaning of Mahamantra as told by Lord Swaminarayan Himself. During the samaiyo, various kirtans were sung by kishores and yuvaks glorifying Swaminarayan Mahamantra.
The samaiyo concluded with the playing of audio dhoon and blessings from H.D.H. Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Overall this was a unique samaiyo which was attended by people who participated in samuh dhoon and aarti which was followed by mahaprasad.
