The BAPS Chicago Bal Mandal held a two-day parayan based on the Harililamrut scripture. First, a pothi yatra was held to create awareness of the forth coming parayan. At the beginning of each session, the balaks performed the parayan pujan ceremony. The theme for the first Sunday was ‘Sant-Asant’. To convey this message the balaks presented kirtans, a drama, 12 mini-speeches and a discourse on the Harililamrut about a fraudulent bawa.

On the second Sunday, the emphasis was placed on the upcoming Bal Pravrutti Suvarna Mahotsav. The balaks presented a discourse on the Harililamrut, a dance, and a drama about the greedy Premji Sheth. The balaks and balikas also offered an Annakut of 100 items, that they had prepared themselves, to Thakorji.
