The Los Angeles women’s wing celebrated the birthday of Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj, through kirtan bhakti and cultural presentation in which all women devotees attended. The theme of the event was “THEIR VISION, HIS MISSION”. The festivities for the Janma Jayanti began at 4:00 pm with deep pragatya followed by stuiti delivered by shishumandal, dhoon and and prarthna by Balika mandal group 1. Balika mandal group 2 sang a kirtan amne pyaru pyaru laage….. Balika mandal group 3 discoursed on swamini vaato, the Sermons of Gunatiatanand Swami and Kishori mandal presented an eight part skit –Their vision, his mission, portraying the visions of Shreeji Maharaj, Gunatitanand Swami, Bhagatji Maharaj, Shashtriji maharaj and Yogiji maharaj carried out by swamishree. A group of mahilas from Mahila mandal sang a bhajaan-Dhanya dhanya e sant sujan… proclaiming the oneness between Bhagwaan and Bhakt. Deepaben Patel gave an inspirational discourse on Gurubhakti glorifying the bhakti of Pramukah Swami Maharaj for his Guru. Yuavti mandal presented the PowerPoint presentation on Mandir Ghelcha. The climax of the samaiyo was when the balika, kishroi, and yuvati mandal performed a dance - Rudo Avasariyo agania aayore… Carol Herrera, the Mayor of City of Diamond Bar, was the special guest of honor for the occasion. Ushaben Patel delivered vote of thanks. There were more than 84 Mahila sponsorers for the Janma Jayanti samaiyo. Finally all the devotees had an opportunity to join in, in samuh aarti. The festivities came to an end at 6:30 after which mahaprasaad was served.
