Atlanta mandir celebrated the
Senior Citizens’ Day in the divine presence of Pramukh Swami
Maharaj. Senior saints delivered spiritual discourses in the
morning sabha. The District Attorney of Dekalb County, Mr.
Jeffrey H. Brickman, presented a proclamation to Swamishri
that acknowledged the socio-spiritual activities of BAPS and
propagation of values such as non-violence.
                  Charlotte mandal performed an
interesting drama - "Dollar Maaro Dev Ne Hu Dollar No Daas"
                    – in the evening assembly, portraying the difficulties of
senior citizens of Indian origin in America due to loss of
family values. The drama also explained how mandir and satsang
can help rejuvenate and preserve family values as taught by
the Indian culture. In the end, everyone realized the importance
of satsang while singing, "Satsang Maaro Dev Ne Hu Satsang
                    No Daas".
In his blessings at the end,
Swamishri explained how mandir helps preserve moral and spiritual
values in the older generation and helps to instill them in
the younger generation. Swamishri asked the senior citizens
to dedicate their retired life to the service of mandir and
                    satsang.
