Swamishri in a divine mood

Chief of police, City of Lilburn, meets Swamishri

 Swamishri reads a letter

Tuesday, June 15, 2004

Tuesday, June 15 was the last day of Swamishri's visit in Atlanta. Pujya Viveksagar Swami concluded his eight-day parayan on the "Taitariya Upanishad." After Swamishri's arrival into the evening assembly, bal; kishore; and vadil karyakars presented incidents of local devotees that related to the theme of the day, "Samarpan Din."

Swamishri was presented with two proclamations by the county and state representatives. The first proclamation recognized Swamishri for his constant pursuit of building stronger families, and the second, for his tireless campaign against addictions.

Dr. K. C. Patel, the president of BAPS USA, explained the necessity of sacrifice and seva required to build the Shikharbadh mandir in Atlanta. A skit following his address also conveyed the same message.

Finally, Swamishri, in his blessings, explained that seva is important, and that one must be committed to God & his saint in self-less service.
