A mandir is often called a labor of love, as it is the combined effort of hundreds of people of all ages that leads to its completion. The Southwest Satsang Mandal organized a Prashashti Din dedicated to this spirit of volunteerism.

Swamishri visited the newly built Mandir and carefully inspected the artwork, craftsmanship, and construction. He also met with dozens of kishores who have been offering seva in the mandir for weeks outside in the unbearable summer heat.

In the evening program, devotees who had made incredible sacrifices and given a tremendous amount of time for the Shikarbaddh Mandir project were asked to come on stage and receive blessings from Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

In his blessings to the assembly, Swamishri mentioned, "everyone who has done seva for this Mandir have pleased Bhagwan Swaminarayan and shall receive Akshardham." He also praised the beauty of the Mandir architecture.
