Swamishri sanctifies the land where the Shikarbadh Mandir will be built

Kishores perform a dance

Monday, July 19, 2004

On Swamishri's final day in Toronto, all those who sacrificed their time and energy to please Swamishri during his visit were recognized on Swayam Sevak (Volunteer) Day.

Immediately after Swamishri's morning puja, he performed puja at the future Shikharbad Mandir site adjacent to the current Haveli.

After kishores performed a farewell dance for Swamishri, Canada volunteers were taken on a 30 year video journey that explored the history of satsang in Canada. Following this, a "volunteer army" marched across stage, expressing their zeal for serving Swamishri.

In his blessings, Swamishri focused on the example of King Janak to explain the importance of realizing that life is temporary, and so we should always focus our attention on worshipping God.
