Swamishri raises his hand and proclaims, “BAPS, Ek Parivar!”

    Parades are a trademark of special events. They are filled with color, joy, and music according to the occasion being celebrated. From 10 AM - 12 PM on Saturday, August 7, the day before murti prathistha, the murtis to be installed were paraded on Columbus Drive in downtown Chicago.

    The murtis of Shri Akshar Purushottam Maharaj, Shri Ghanshyam Maharaj, Shri Harikrishna Maharaj, Shri Radha-Krishna Dev, Shri Sita-Ram with Hanuman, Shri Shiv-Parvati with Ganeshji, and the Guru Parampara were displayed on floats. Meanwhile, saints sang kirtans as devotees in traditional dress danced with joy to the tune of the their devotion.

    His Divine Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj also witnessed this massive nagar yatra. After hailing Bhagwan Swaminarayan and the Guru Parampara, Swamishri repeatedly proclaimed, "BAPS, Ek Parivar!"

    At the end of the day, saints performed an exceptional kirtan aradhana. Swamishri, at the conclusion of the kirtan aradhana, explained that true happiness lies in God.
