Pramukh Swami Maharaj Janma Jayanti Celebrations - 2005

On the auspicious occasion of the birthday of Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the North America Mahila Mandal celebrated Guru Hari Janma Jayanti, with great devotion and love during December 2005 in BAPS centers across North America. The theme of this year's celebration exemplified the numerous qualities of Swamishri - Sadgun Na Bhandar.

Across the nation, from the youngest balika to the vadil mahilas, everyone's heart rejoiced as they celebrated this auspicious day. Various centers celebrated the Guru Hari Jayanti by observing fasts, sharing prasangs demonstrating the ideal qualities of our Guru and many such activities that further fostered their love and devotion for Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

The program was an elaborate blend of skits, speeches and folk dances. The skits provided a glimpse in to the persona of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. His oozing love for mankind, his unparalleled 'Sadhuta' and the unique inspiration Swamishri provides to aspire for a spiritually-centered life were some of the highlights of the skits.

A dance with lamps in hand performed to the tune of "Pramukh Swami Ka Jai Jai Kaar" re-energized everyone in the audience. Followed by the dance was a thought provoking speech centered on main theme of the program exemplifying the numerous qualities of Swamishri. A video presentation of Swamishri's blessings enabled everyone to feel the presence of Swamishri amongst them. The last segment of the program was comprised of a dance 'Dhanya Dhanya aa Avsaar' which was then followed by the Aarti and announcements.

This celebration across North America was the epitome of the devotion of the Mahila Mandal. At the end of the celebration everyone experienced an overwhelming feeling of gratitude and Gurubhakti towards Swamishri.
