After the mandir's first arti, Pujya Tyagvallabh Swami, pujya santos, and honorable guests addressed the audience. Senator Bob Mellow, a fellow member of the Scranton community, addressed the assembly said, "I have been told about the work BAPS does for the youth, mainly the maintaining of culture in a place away from their homeland. As a second generation Italian, I know a little about maintaining culture as well and I commend the activities that BAPS does to enrich the lives of the youth. I wish you well on this very special day and I am glad that you have opened a mandir in the beautiful city of Scranton."

Pujya Tyagvallabh Swami addressing the assembly said, "With the inauguration of this sanskardham, devotion for god will further develop and our culture and traditions will be learnt and forever be upheld by future generations."
