For centuries,
followers of the Hindu Faith have raised mandirs for the moral
and spiritual uplift of its people. These sacred places have
long drawn devotees from far and wide to learn and worship.
Now, for the first
time in modern history, a traditional Hindu Mandir and Haveli
have been built outside India, here at Neasden in North London.
For nearly 3 years,
hundreds of Swaminarayan devotees, from all over the world,
worked together in a spiritual labour of love to construst this
magnificent and enormous Hindu Mandir.
During the summer
of 1995, the Mandir was consecrated by His Divine Holiness Shri
Pramukh Swami Maharaj and it has already become a magnet for
tourists from all over the world.
This video presentation
tells the story of this splendid creation from its inspiration
to its consecration. It brings together unique and exclusive
film of the artistic beauties of the Mandir and the stories
of some of those volunteer devotees who buit it.
