Guinness World Records 2000
Recognizes the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in London as the largest stone Hindu Temple outside India and labels this achievement of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, its inspirer, in its Architects & Master Builders page.
Also Pramukh Swami Maharaj is recognized as having consecrated the most mandirs - 355 in 11 countries between 1971 and 2000.

This prestigious Reader's Digest publication (1998) prominently mentions the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London, lauding its scale, intricate detail and the extraordinary story of how it was built and inspired by Pramukh Swami Maharaj

Member in Consultative Status (Cat.II) to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (EcoSoc, UN).

Guinness Book Recognises Annakut Festival, London
On 27 October, 2000, the Guinness World Record book presented a certificate for the world record 1247 vegetarian dishes during an Annakut Festival at the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London.

Building Award
Most Enterprising Building Award, 1996 - awarded by the Royal Fine Art Commission & British Sky Broadcasting for the Swaminarayan Mandir in London.
Environmental Award
Brent Green Leaf Award for 1995, England, was presented by AL-Can to the BAPS for collecting over 7 million cans in less than 3 years.
G D Birla International Award for Outstanding Contribution to Humanism
The 2000 G.D. Birla International Award for Preservation of India's Heritage & Culture was awarded on 21 July, 2001 by the Vice President of India, H.E. Krishna Kant, in New Delhi to Pramukh Swami Maharaj and BAPS.

Livestock Awards
More than 12 national awards have been won at the All-India Livestock Competitions for pedigree cows, buffaloes and bulls.
Multimedia Award
Bronze Award at the International Audio-Visual and Multimedia Festival, 1993 in Munich for the 'Sat-Chit-Anand' Multimedia Show at Akshardham, Gandhinagar.
National Award
In 1992, the 'National Award for Child Welfare" was presented by the President of India to the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha for its children's activities.
Printing Awards
Five first prizes were awarded to the Sanstha's publications at the Fifth Gujarat Printing Convention.

State Award
Best Children Activities Award was presented by the Government of Gujarat State in 1989.
Excellence In Printing
In January 1996, the 'First South Asia Print Congress' contest was held in N.Delhi. Out of thousands of printers who had submitted their entries, Swaminarayan Aksharpith, Amdavad, qualified for the best printing award.
Stone Federation National Stone Awards, London, 1995
The biennial stone Federation National Stone Awards, organized by the Stone Federation, Great Britain, presents awards for stone architecture in the following categories:
New Build/Interior,
Restoration,
Craftsmanship,
Landscaping,
Interior.
On 21 February 1996, the trustees of the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London, were presented a special award for the mandir's architecture, craftsmanship and beauty.
Millennium Award For Excellence in Architecture
On 27 June 2000, the Architectural Association of Kenya honored the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Nairobi, Kenya, with the Millennium Award for Excellence in Architecture.
