Samadhi without Yoga

Shitaldas, a spiritual aspirant, came for darshan of Ramanand Swami. However, Ramanand Swami had already passed away, so, Sahajanand Swami consoled him and asked him to chant the 'Swaminarayan mantra.' On doing so, he experienced samadhi in which Ramanand Swami gave him darshan and revealed, "Sahajanand Swami is the Supreme Godhead." Similarly, people of various creeds experienced samadhi in which they saw their choicest deities. Very often they experienced samadhi on hearing the voice of Sahajanand Swami, or by His darshan or mere touch. He graced them with samadhi, to reveal to them His true identity. At times, even animals, birds and insects experienced samadhi. Explaining about samadhi the Lord revealed, "The divinity of God-incarnate attracts true aspirants and they experience samadhi. At times, when God desires to attract many jivas, even non-aspirants and animals are graced with samadhi."
