Each
person struggles through
live. For some the trials are
overpowering, for others a bored
status quo prevails,and
for a minority mountains are
pounded to dust in
the search for meaning and joy.
Within the invisible depths of
each soul there is a yearning.
A need to know Why?.
Why do we live?,
Why do we experience problems?,
Why are we travellers on the
journey of life?.
In the search for answers to
their uncertainties many turn to
the God-realised Saint.

On The Journey Of Life |
Knights
Of The Faith... |
For thousands of years in Indian culture there has been the tradition
of surrendering ones self to the guru. Even in todays
modern society the tradition still lives. One can see young graduates
renouncing the world to became sadhus for a place at Swamishris
feet. To them he is everything. Through his teachings and inspirations
they become the next generation of knights, albeit gentle, of the
faith, defending and sustaining the ancient culture and spirituallity
of India against the evils of todays materialistic society.

Satpurush |
During a special convention
for the sadhus of Amdavad temple... |
|
Sadhu: What is meant when we say that we should believe the Satpurush
to be our true form?
|
|
Swamishri : Our true form is the atma, not the body. The Satpurush
is our atma. We should believe his form to be ours. However, it
will make no outward difference to our appearance, but still we
should keep this one belief. We should do as the Satpurush tells
us and keep everlasting love for him. If we want to realise ourselves
as atma, consider his form as ours and continue our efforts. His
form is pure. There are no defects or traces of maya in it. If we
keep such conviction, the maya within us is destroyed.
How can we believe this? By constantly impressing this thought in
our mind, it will become fixed. Then our defects will vanish. This
body is not our form, it is temporary. The Satpurushs form
is eternal, indestructible and peaceful. One who obeys his agna
gains control of ones atma. We have only realised his true
form when we do whatever he says. Just as whenever Gunatitanand
Swami commanded, Bhagatji obeyed. At the moment, we do as our mind
and body tell us. But when we do as the Satpurush says, we will
realise his true form.
