2002 (V.S. 2058, Aso sud 2) Tuesday, Gandhidham, Bhuj
- Swamishri performed
the foundation-stone laying ceremony for a Hari mandir
in Gandhidham. Thereafter, Swamishri performed the murti-pratishtha
ceremony of deities in a temporary Hari mandir.
- Swamishri's
Shri Harikrishna Maharaj (Thakorji) was honored by the
devotees. Finally Swamishri blessed the assembly.
- In the evening,
Swamishri returned to Bhuj and addressed the satsang assembly.
- 9 October
2002 (V.S. 2058, Aso sud 4) Wednesday, Bhuj
At 9.50 a.m., a yagna
was performed in the presence of Swamishri at the BAPS tin-city
for the consecration rituals of murtis to be installed in
the villages of Pramukh Swami Nagar, Gunatitnagar, Narayannagar,
Bhuj, Yoginagar and Shrijinagar. The Vedic yagna had 60 yagna-kunds
and 482 couples as participants.
After the rituals, Swamishri blessed the assembly.
- 10 October
2002 (V.S. 2058, Aso sud 5) Thursday, Bhuj, Mandvi
- During Swamishri's
morning puja music artistes of Kachchh, traditionally
attired, sang and played a variety of local instruments
like the morchang, bhorindo, jodiyo pavo, ravan hathho,
matlu-tagaru, etc. Swamishri blessed all the artistes.
- Swamishri performed
the murti-pratishtha of Shri Akshar Purushottam Maharaj,
Shri Nar Narayan Dev, Guru Parampara, Shri Hanumanji and
Shri Ganapatiji at the mandir in Bhuj. Thereafter, Swamishri
blessed the murti-pratishtha assembly.
- At 5.00 p.m.,
Swamishri departed from Bhuj and arrived in Mandvi at
6.30 p.m. A satsang assembly was held in Mandvi.
- 11 October
2002 (V.S. 2058, Aso sud 6) Friday, Mandvi, Koday, Talvana,
Khakhar, Bhuj
- In the morning,
Swamishri visited the holy places sanctified by Shriji
Maharaj in Mandvi. The murti of Shri Harikrishna Maharaj
(Thakorji) was honored by the devotees during the morning
assembly.
- At 5.45 p.m.,
Swamishri visited the Swaminarayan Gurukul in Koday and
blessed the students.
- Then Swamishri
visited the 72 Jinalay in the village of Talvana.
- Thereafter,
Swamishri arrived at the village of Khakhar and addressed
a small assembly.
- At 7.45 p.m.,
Swamishri arrived back in Bhuj and addressed the evening
satsang assembly.

2002 (V.S. 2058, Aso sud 7) Saturday, Bhuj, Khavda, Bhuj
- At 10.15 a.m.,
Swamishri arrived at Khavda, a village 75 km from Bhuj
and on the border of India. The BAPS has built a colony
of 155 houses called Pramukh Swami Nagar after the earthquake
destroyed the village (For
details).
Swamishri performed the murti-pratishtha at the newly
built Swaminarayan Mandir in Khavda. Leading members of
the village honored and appreciated Swamishri during the
murti-pratishtha assembly. Shri Harikrishna Maharaj (Thakorji)
was honored by the local devotees. The assembly concluded
with the dedication of the colony to the people of Khavda.
- At 6.50 p.m.
Swamishri arrived in Bhuj for the evening satsang assembly.
- 13 October
2002 (V.S. 2058, Aso sud 8) Sunday, Bhuj, Gunatitpur, Yoginagar,
Bhuj
- At 9.25 a.m.,
Swamishri departed from Bhuj and traveled 60 km to Gunatitpur
- reconstructed by BAPS after the earthquake. The BAPS
has built 112 houses, a primary school, administrative
office, community hall, dispensary water storage tank,
roads, a pond, etc. (For
details).
Swamishri sanctified the newly built village and performed
the murti-pratishtha rituals of the Swaminarayan Mandir.
Swamishri then addressed the satsang assembly.
- At 5.35 p.m.,
Swamishri arrived at Yoginagar built by BAPS after the
earthquake. 87 houses, a mandir, primary school, play
school, community hall, administrative office, gaushala,
etc. have been built by BAPS (For
details).
Swamishri performed the murti-pratishtha rituals at the
Swaminarayan Mandir and blessed the assembly. Thereafter,
Swamishri returned to Bhuj and addressed the evening assembly.
- 14 October
2002 (V.S. 2058, Aso sud 9) Monday, Bhuj, Anjar, Kukma, Bhuj
- At 10.45 a.m.,
Swamishri arrived in Anjar and visited a primary school
in which BAPS has built some classrooms. The public assembly
was arranged at Vivekanand High School. The BAPS has built
16 classrooms annexed to Vivekanand High School. The new
building was named Pramukh Swami Maharaj Higher Secondary
Vidyamandir. After sanctifying the new classrooms Swamishri
attended the assembly. Shri Harikrishna Maharaj (Thakorji)
was honored by devotees. Swamishri blessed the assembly.
- In the evening,
Swamishri sanctified the BAPS constructed school 'Pramukh
Swami Ashramshala' for shepherds' children in Anjar.
- At 6.20 p.m.,
Swamishri arrived at Kukma village. The BAPS has built
a new colony of 43 houses called 'Pramukh Swami Nagar.'
Then Swamishri performed the foundation-stone laying ceremony
for a Hari mandir before attending the satsang assembly
(For
details).
- 15 October
2002 (V.S. 2058, Aso sud 10) Tuesday (Dashera), Bhuj
- After his morning
puja, Swamishri performed the pujan rituals of bricks
for the Hari mandirs in the towns of Rapar, Morzar, Panandhro,
Bhirandiyara and Ramnagar.
- In the evening
assembly Shri Harikrishna Maharaj (Thakorji) was honored
by the devotees.
- 17 October
2002 (V.S. 2058, Aso sud 12) Thursday, Bhuj, Sukhpur, Narayannagar,
Moti Mau, Shrijinagar, Gadhshisha, Bhuj
- At 9.30 a.m.,
Swamishri departed from Bhuj and arrived at 9.45 a.m.
in Sukhpur. After darshan at the mandir Swamishri blessed
the devotees.
- At 10.25 a.m., Swamishri
arrived in Narayannagar. The BAPS has built 285 houses
after the earthquake (For
details). Swamishri performed the murti-pratishtha
rituals of the newly built Swaminarayan Mandir and then
blessed the assembly.
- In the evening, Swamishri
visited the village of Moti Mau and then went to Shrijinagar
(Nani Mau) and performed the murti pratishtha of the newly
built Swaminarayan Mandir and blessed the assembly. The
BAPS has built 33 houses after the earthquake (For
details).
- Thereafter, Swamishri traveled
34 km to the village of Gadhshisha. More than 3,000 devotees
and well-wishers had arrived from 17 surrounding villages
for the satsang assembly. Swamishri addressed the assembly
and arrived in Bhuj at 8.30 p.m.
- 18 October
2002 (V.S. 2058, Aso sud 12) Friday, Bhuj
In the evening satsang
assembly, the local devotees honored Shri Harikrishna Maharaj
(Thakorji). Swamishri addressed the satsang assembly.
- 19 October
2002 (V.S. 2058, Aso sud 13) Saturday, Bhuj, Rajkot, Gondal
At 10.00 a.m., Swamishri
departed by plane from Bhuj and arrived at 11.30 a.m. in Rajkot.
In the evening, Swamishri departed from Rajkot and arrived
in Gondal.
