His Abode
Lord Swaminarayan taught the
philosophy of worshiping God together with His ideal devotee. In unequivocal
terms He revealed, "Gunatitanand Swami represents My Heavenly abode,
Akshardham, in which I dwell and he is the incarnation of Aksharbrahman,
My ideal devotee."
When Lord Swaminarayan left this mortal world in 1830, Gunatitanand
Swami became His first spiritual successor. He spread the glory of Lord
Swaminarayan and continued His philanthropic mission. Through his impeccable
saintliness he groomed spiritual aspirants into ideal disciples and
fostered the Satsang Fellowship for four decades. He was succeeded by
Pragji Bhakta who then spread the lofty doctrines of Akshar and Purushottam.
