The first BAPS English medium school at Nagpur, The Swaminarayan School, was inaugurated by H.D.H. Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj in 1997. Ever since, the School has made great strides in providing a high standard of education.

The School imparts education from Pre-Primary and is slated to reach up to Standard XII with the addition of one standard each year. At present, the School is operational up to Standard VIII with a student strength of 1,105. Standard IX will be added to the present arrangements in June 2006. The School is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra and is affiliated with the CBSE. The School therefore is pursuing the CBSE syllabus.

There has been an urgent demand from parents for a residential English medium school. Accordingly, residential facilities for students of Standards |V, V, VI and VII have been organized since June 2004. Parents of these students have expressed great satisfaction regarding the overall development of their children.

In addition to parental care and attention for a child’s all round development, community living in a hostel also plays as important role in making a child-self reliant, competent and confident.

Few educational institutions impart quality education, with cultural and value based grooming. But, to our good fortune educational institutions operated under the inspiring leadership and guidance of Pramukh Swami Maharaj vividly remind us of the Gurukul tradition of our ancient past.
