Biogas is created from fomenting cattle manure. It can be transformed into both electricity and heat. Today biogas is regarded as an important source of energy, both environmentally friendly and economical. It can be used in place of fossil fuel, thus saving our precious environment and cutting the cost of living by more than half. The fomenting manure can then be used as excellent natural fertilizer.

BAPS owns and runs a number of scientific Cattle Gaushalas in Nenpur, Bochasan, Atladra, Sarangpur, Gadhada and Gondal (all in India). Learning about biogas production, and how it saves our environment, the Sanstha has installed small plants at Sarangpur and Gondal to produce biogas from cattle manure for usage instead of fossil fuel gas. For the past 15 years now, biogas is being used at these centers with great success.
