Each
person struggles through
live. For some the trials are
overpowering, for others a bored
status quo prevails,and
for a minority mountains are
pounded to dust in
the search for meaning and joy.
Within the invisible depths of
each soul there is a yearning.
A need to know Why?.
Why do we live?,
Why do we experience problems?,
Why are we travellers on the
journey of life?.
In the search for answers to
their uncertainties many turn to
the God-realised Sadhu.

Faith |

Wherever we look we see evil flourishing. Those who stand up for
righteousness and justice are often viciously put down and made
to suffer. In such circumstances how can one be expected to keep
faith in dharma?
|
|
Swamishri : Death will always do its job of spreading hardship and
suffering. In this Kaliyug, those who are bad are made out to be
great. But be sure, in the end, truth always wins. Bearing that
in mind, one should live one's life according to dharma. Those who
are wrong, for a time may seem to be famous and influential in society,
but when their time comes they all fall, after which no one even
remembers their names. Money obtained by deceit and cheating wont
help a man sleep at night. On the other hand, a person who earns
his food with good, honest labour, even if he only gets a rotlo
to eat, it will taste sweet to him, and that sweetness will reach
deep into his heart.

Should politics be guided by dharma?
|
|
Swamishri : Definitely. Without dharma there can never be peace
in the Government.
|
|
I am referring to the current problems concerning the role of dharma
in politics.
|
|
Swamishri : A life devoid of dharma is empty and meaningless. Any
dharma which incites one to hurt others is of no benefit to man.
Todays problems are not Gods doing, but the Governments.
There is such a tussle for votes. If they all co-operated with each
other all problems would be solved. Instead, the public has to suffer
due to the internal disputes between the politicians.
