KNOWLEDGE CENTRES

For problem solving, the logic engine of the human mind works best only if it acquires knowledge of various fields and hence compartmentalisation of knowledge into subjects doesn't really help. The school aims at providing knowledge centres so that a child understands the problems in totality. For example, the learning centre for mathematics will be linked with a drawing studio to give them an understanding of shapes, sizes, proportions, etc.

STRENGTH OF THE STRENGTH

The strength of the child in this changing world lies in communication and computation. To help appreciate its role, the school has included the following learning centres:


Mathematics Activity Centre

The power of analysis greatly improves through mathematics, whatever the field. This powerful tool which is more or less left unattended will be given due emphasis. The mathematics activity centre will have adequate facilities to facilitate a child in understanding real-time situations for computation.

Information Technology Centre

This centre will have a think-pad where logistic skills are developed rather than making the child work on ready-made software. This lab will complement and supplement the learning imparted in the classrooms and activity centres.


Communications Lab

To reciprocate thoughts, ideas, information and feelings special efforts will be made so that the child learns communication with groups, masses or at times even with oneself. Learning centres for communication will arrange for group discussions, quiz and public speaking. The performance of group individuals during communication will be projected back through audio-visuals for self-improvement.

Life Skills Centre

"Activity activates the child" - be it baking a cake, designing a costume or assembling an electronic gadget. We have over 600 essential skills to be learnt by girls for the new millennia.The centre is so designed that students can learn skills to effectively handle technology as well as home affairs. She can tie a rope in seven different ways,
