MUSIC AND DANCE STUDIO

Students perform a range of musical and dance activities that build and integrate, listening, performing, composing and appraising skills in different styles with increasing understanding of musical devices, processes and contextual influences. Students use software and recording equipments to enable the exploration of music and dance.

ART AND DESIGN STUDIO

Expression of ideas and creativity knows no barriers. To hone such skills, this studio

involves activities likesketching, brush-art, stippling, knife work, gum painting, emboss painting, mos-aic and murals, fabric design, clay modelling, 'best from waste', screen printing, bamboo work, fibre-glass painting, pottery and making greeting cards.

SPORTS

Adequate games are available for the girls to "sweat it out" like volley ball, kho-kho, gymnastics to indoor games like table-tennis, badminton and basketball. Yoga and martial arts like judo, karate also form a part of the sports curriculum.

CURRICULUM

The academic curriculum is based on the prescribed syllabus of

Central Board of Secondary Education. In order to make learning an enjoyable experience the syllabus is child-centred and activity-based.

The curriculum will encourage the pursuit of excellence in academics, love for learning and initiative in extra-curricular pursuits in order to develop the skills and talents needed in our progressive world. It will aim to encourage each child to appreciate the unique value of every individual including it-self.

EVALUATION

Continuous comprehensive evaluation is achieved through cycles of weekly tests and quarterly assessment by the class teachers on scholastic andnon-scholastic parameters. Student achievement is depict-ed through a grade scale.
