Residential
Schools & Education Complex (Proposed)
The Sanstha has established ‘SWAMINARAYAN VIDYAPITH’ (SWAMINARAYAN
UNIVERSITY) under which it has planned to start residential schools
or colleges of international standard from where residing students
can qualify for degrees from world-renowned universities and institutions.
The Swaminarayan School in London ranks as one of the top schools
in London, while similar institutions are being planned for Gandhinagar,
Vidyanagar, Mt. Abu and also in New Jersey (USA).
Sunday
School in London
In 1981, the SWAMINARAYAN SUNDAY SCHOOL in London started with
73 students. The classes in this school are conducted only on
Sundays, free of cost, by volunteers. Its sole aim is to help
children become highly qualified professionals with a sound moral
character based on spiritual values. The school provides classes
on Indian languages, Household duties, Self-defence, Leadership,
Cultural Arts, Dances, Music, Elocution and other subjects. Today,
600 students attend the school in Neasden, London, and 500 more
attend centers set up by the school in other parts of the city.
A separate trust,
Swaminarayan Vidyapith Trust, has been formed to take care of
all academic activities. All the above centers are now run by
this Trust.
