Procession
At 3.00 pm, a giant Swaminarayan
Mahamantra procession was carried out through the streets of Gadhada.
More than 20,000 devotees participated by singing the Swaminarayan dhun.
The 1½-km long procession included marching youths with lighted
torches, a cavalcade of youths on motorcycles, decorated camelcarts,
several bhajan groups, beautiful floats: swan float, peacock float and
garud float with the murtis of Ghanshyam Maharaj and Shastriji Maharaj,
sadhus and devotees chanting the dhun, tribal dancers, traditionally
dressed folk-dancing groups, women chanting the dhun with auspicious
kalashes and mantra-pothis. The 3½ hour long procession weaved
through the streets of Gadhada blessed by Bhagwan Swaminarayan and His
paramhansas.
